Hello to everyone,

I am looking for quite some time now, to no avail, into a technical issue.
On regular basis I have to make a visual presentation to a potential prospect. I have my laptop ( an HP Pavilion dv1000) that I run the presentation from.

What I need is a second monitor so that the potential prospect/customer sits in front of me and not next to me.

I could use a flat screen monitor of course but the problem is that I have to power it to 110V, hence depending on a location with an available power outlet.

What I was thinking is if somehow I might be able to use a second screen ( just the screen) from a defective laptop that I can connect it with my HP and somehow to power it via USB.

Hence everything I see on my laptop can be seen on the second monitor as well. (similar to the image bellow)

I was trying a flat portable TV monitor but the resolution is very, very poor, and the quality of the graphics looks very bad, thus with a negative visual impact on my prospect.

Does anyone have any idea how can I solve this dilemma?

Have you looked into using a power inverter ( 12 Volt to 110 Volt)? They are used for camping, in car use, RV use, etc.

Note the link is just for an example, I have no idea if that is a good one.
