oh hai, I´m currently working on making a class for casting brass in sand molds at the school were i work, and have been looking around the net for a digital founding machine, and i saw that they worked on induction heating to be specific the machine i looked upp had these stats -
Effect: 600 watt
Hertz: 60hz
and i realised that a normal induction plate that i can buy at like walmart or mediamarkt has these stats
Effect: 500-2000 watt
Hertz: 50 Hz
so i started to think and plan on rebuilding one of those cheaper inductions plates from the store and building it into a foundery,
and what i knew the only difrence between them is that the real foundery has bigger coils around a grafit chamber where the metals can melt, while the normal plate have them alined in a circel alongs the plate,
SO, do you guys belive it would work if i toke aport the plate and re-placed the copper wires around in a cirkel it could melt brass? or do i need to change the wires into heavier copper rods?
Plase give me more information if i have missed anyting
thanks |
