I took my old rc car and used the receiver and the servo to make my surveillance cam move right and left. the servo is a cheep one and moves very fast. this dose not make for good panning, so I would like to know if there is a way to slow it down. this is a a cheep rc servo and i think came out of an Nikko I can not control the speed with the remote it is an all or nothing system. Any thoughts would help

I have it taped up so i dont want to un tape it till have have a plan to slow it down. I was think some kind of compassitor on the power wire to the servo. but i dont know what size to start at because theres no numbers telling me the power going to it.

it usualy uses 5-7 volts( best use 6).
Did you consider using a large gear atached to the smaller one on the servo?
Going by lower voltage usualy results in poor controlability, because you mess with the sinc circuit.
I would buy a 10 $ Futaba or Hytec high torque, low speed servo.

*eye twitch*
Capacitor, man. Capacitor!

perhaps you could try a resistor before the motor? Or a potentiometer for a variable speed.
