|So today, everythign was working fine and suddenly the sound stopped. I was in the middle of installing Adobe Audition when this happened.
My computer says that the speakers are working fine (they're built in) and no matter how high o rlow the volume is I don't get anything out. When music is supposed to be playing, I can see the green bar moving to show the pitch. Its the same thing on all programs so I'm not exactly sure what's wrong.
I tried restarting the device, restarting the computer and restoring it to yesterday in case the installation created a problem...nothing worked. I also tried putting in headphones but it was the same thing.
Is there anything I can do to get sound on it, or is it a major hardware problem that I can't fix (quickly and for free atleast).
I'm running an Acer Aspire 4530 on Vista Home Premium. Speakers are Realtek High Definition Audio. The laptop is about 4 months old, and was bought brand new back in December.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks
