Cool. I just recently received some DS1820 samples from Maxim and they're really easy to use with the PICAXE chips

How good do these circuits work if the sensor is connected to a really long cord? It might be useful if you live in an area (like mine) where the water in you pipes tend to freeze in the winter. Thus, if I connect the sensor to the water main and use a long cord to wire it into the house, would the sensor still work correctly? |
