I am the manager of The Concordia Choir of Moorhead, Minnesota. Our
conductor has composed a piece incorporating loon sounds and other
natural ethereal sounds.
He wants to use lights to add to the effect
of the piece's presentation.
Instead of using usual theater lights to light the singers from above
or from the floor, I have a vision for a battery powered Peggy/Meggy?
device that would clip to the back of each singers robe collar.
This device would have RGB LEDs allowing us to produce any color
needed. There would/could be a cable/wires between each unit allowing
us to control the individual lighting units and/or supply power.
This would either be controlled from a central location, or could be
controlled by a hand control by each singer. See the choir's typical
standing arrangement here:

Interested Evil Mad Scientists - or anyone good with LED prototyping skiils - should
email moe (at) cord.edu.

Cool idea Gordon.
Some RGB LEDs and some microcontrollers would make this possible. Would every person in the picture require lighting and individual control? |
