Hi all,
Anyone have a good solution to do square hole in Project boxes, to put rockers switches, push puttons etc...
I have buy a nibbler tool but some project box have a thickness bigger that the capacity of the tool (usually 1/16").
With a hot blade the plastic melt the hole is not uniform.
I'm waiting now spiral cutting from dremel to try .. is my last hope......
Any one have a solution ?

I use a dremel first then clean up the hole with a small file  _________________ eric |

Last time I needed a square hole I had someone with a CNC machine make them. Have a look at this though! http://toolmonger.com/2006/11/30/tool-tech-square-drill-bits/
I have not used one of these square drill bits (or even seen them in the store) but that would be very cool. I just can't imagine drilling a hole with the drill press and have it come out square.  |

Thats what I was going to say or do what I did with my latest project that needed holes with corners;

A company here made hole cutters for the old tube holders. They also made a set for square holes. Came in 3 parts, one part on top, one part underneath and a hex key. worked on the principal of squeeze and cut. Should work on plastic if not to brittle. |
