A friend of mine bought this really old Atlas lathe this elderly gentleman had for sale. We had previously helped him get his CNC operation up and running, and whatd'ya now, next thing I know, I am trading him a few stepper motor drives for this thing. It aint pretty, it ain't even clean yet. I couldn't turn down the price on it, though. It's SOLID. Outside from a little backlash I am going to have to shim out of it, it's absolutely tops.

Without further ado, here it is. I cannot believe all of the tooling he let go with this thing:

That thing looks like a tank! How much does it weigh? I can think of tons of cool projects I could do with that. Smile

It took three of us to move it into the trough. We guesstimated a little over 400 pounds.
