I have a HHP TT3101 signature pad. It's one of those old things you see in CVSs and Kinney Drug's with the card swipe and electronic pen so you can swipe your credit card, then sign the pad.

I took it apart, because I want to use the screen for a very small laptop.
I figure that there are two ways to do this. I could either find a way to hook it up directly to a Mini-ITX motherboard, or find a way to convert it to standard input. I figure the latter will be both easier and more beneficial in the long run, in case I dissemble the computer at some point.

The problem is that I have never done anything like this before and don't know where to start. There are two wires coming out of the screen, and I know enough that the smaller is for power and the larger for input (see pictures). How to go about making them usable in this endeavor, I am not sure.

Any links, advice, instruction, or help would be hugely appreciated. Smile Thanks,
--Matt

You will have to have a look at the actual display to see who made it and if there is a model number visible. For example it may be made by Sharp etc...

Then look to see if the pin outs are available somewhere.
