This is the light I made about 2 years ago for my motorcycle. Since then it became much smaller and more stable. Can be reprogrammed to display different things in reaction to input signals (brake and turn signals). See the project description on my web site BoldLine.org.
I hope you will find the light and the rest of my web site useful. |

The light looks interesting, have you looked into the legality of use? |

Kind of... The one for the motorcycle has no legal issues (here in CA). It is acceptable for the motocycle tail lights to combine functions of the actual tail light and the turn signals. If you add some messages then it might become not street legal. But there are so many aftermarket gadgets which are not street legal. Besides, I was riding with this script for a year without issues.
As for the car light - as long as it acts as a regular hight mounted stop light while you drive it will comply with the DOT rules. When car is parked then no one cares what it displays. Again, I am driving my mustang with this light and with this script for 5-6 months and so far no issues with this one too. |
