amp issues (grr)

hey all,

im having probs tryin to get this blasted amp to work.

im using this circuit diag:
http://diycircuits.net/tda2822m/tda2822m_dual_low_voltage_power_amplifier

except for the input capacitor that is not in my build.

and all i get is silence

any ideas?

power is 5V and input is 600mV

Not too many components, have you scoped the input and output? Is there anything coming out? Is the speaker working and what it the speaker impedance?

im progressing, ive put some caps on the end of the negative input im now just getting lots of structured crackles im using 1000uf caps is it recommended 220 cos i do have them about somewhere
