If you are in a pinch you can rip apart a 9 Volt battery to get some 1.5 volt cells. Note that not all batteries look like this inside, many have small rectangular cells that are stacked end to end.

Wow there are lots of videos! The magnetic security tag prank is funny. It would be fun to sprinkle a bunch of them in the store sticky side up so that they stick to the under side of peoples shoes. I am sure they would think there was a problem with the detector after 20 or 30 people had set it off!

Watch the video where the record is converted into a bowl, I can see these popping up at flea markets all over the place, what a neat idea. Smile

Hey Kipkay, how did your potato battery function? I wonder if it was just running of a capacitor charge in the MP3 player that lingered after the batteries were removed because you are have the same metals inserted into both potatoes and the potato battery is open (no link between the potatoes).

I don't see what the coils of wires would do?
