What kind of detector is it? Is it a 2 pin sensor that looks like an LED or is it a 3 pin sensor with Gnd, Vdd, and Vout? If it is a 2 pin sensor, you will have to make a voltage divider to get a high/low input. If it is 3 pin, you can connect the Vout to the input directly. |

That could be a transistor or a diode, it will be hooked up very differently depending on what it is. Most likely a transistor but you will have to find out. |
